Introduction

Want to keep your genii's knowledge automatically up-to-date with your entire website? Sitemap upload is your answer!

Instead of manually adding individual URLs one by one, you can now provide genii with your XML sitemap. genii will automatically discover all your pages, scrape their content, and keep everything synchronized as your site evolves.

Unlike static uploads, sitemaps create a dynamic knowledge base that grows and updates with your content.

What are XML sitemaps?

XML sitemaps are files that list all the important pages on your website, along with helpful metadata like when each page was last updated. They're like a roadmap that helps search engines (and now genii!) understand your site structure.

We support two types:

How it works

Initial Upload

When you first upload a sitemap, genii will:

  1. Discover all URLs listed in your XML file(s)
  2. Scrape the content from each page
  3. Add all pages to your knowledge base

This is a complete import of everything in your sitemap - like doing a bulk URL upload, but automated!

Refresh & Updates

When you refresh an existing sitemap (or when automatic updates run), genii will:

  1. Compare the current sitemap with what's already in your knowledge base
