What’s a ROI tracker
The ROI Tracker is a powerful feature that allows you to measure the real business impact of your Genii AI agent beyond simple conversations. Instead of just tracking chat interactions, it enables you to follow user behavior and measure concrete return on investment by monitoring what happens after users engage with your AI chatbot.
How it works
The ROI Tracker leverages the Genii widget script that you install on your website pages to:
- Track specific user behaviors (triggers) - such as clicking an "add to cart" button, visiting specific URLs, or viewing particular page elements
- Capture detailed metadata - including product information, prices, sizes, quantities, and other relevant business data
- Connect conversations to conversions - specifically for users who have interacted with your Genii AI agent
Prerequisites for tracking
For the ROI Tracker to capture and report events, two conditions must be met:
- The Genii widget script must be installed on the pages where you want to track events
- Users must have initiated a conversation with Genii - the system only captures events for visitors who have started at least one interaction with your AI agent
Key capabilities
The system monitors three main types of events:
- Element visibility - when users see specific content on your pages
- Page navigation - when users land on particular URLs
- User interactions - when users click specific buttons or elements
All tracking is configurable through the ROI Tracker settings, where you can define which events to monitor and what metadata to capture.
