Authentication Method

Genii uses an authentication system based on the OAuth2 standard with a one-time password (OTP) code. The OTP code is sent by email and allows the connection to be validated on a specific browser, ensuring that the user is the owner of the email address.

The authentication service is separate from the rest of the ecosystem and uses its own database, managing only authentication and user account management.

Account types

There are three types of accounts:

Users and administrators have the same rights, except that administrators can invite new collaborators.

Creating an administrator account

A Tolk.ai Customer Success Manager or sales representative sends the customer an email containing an account creation link. The customer enters their email address and sets a password, then receives a confirmation email.

Inviting users

Administrators can invite collaborators from the "Settings" > "Team" section. Invited collaborators receive an email with a link to create their password.

Deleting accounts

Administrators can deactivate or delete user accounts from the "Team" page. To delete an administrator account, a request must be made to the CSM representative (processing time approximately 48 hours).

The CSM team reviews accounts every quarter to deactivate or delete unused accounts.
